The 1st Action Coordination Unit (ACU) Meeting within the scope of the “Reuse of Treated Urban Wastewater for Different Alternatives” Project was held on 21 May 2026 in the Meeting Hall of the General Directorate of Water Management of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

The meeting was attended by Ms. Afire SEVER, Director General of Water Management at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry; Mr. Menderes İŞÇEN, Head of the Water and Soil Management Department at the General Directorate of Environmental Management of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change; Ms. Meltem YILMAZ, Contract Expert from the Project Implementation Department of the General Directorate for European Union and Foreign Relations; as well as representatives of the Final Beneficiary, Co-Beneficiary, and the Contractor.

The meeting was opened by Afire Sever, Director General of Water Management at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. This was followed by a comprehensive presentation by the Technical Assistance Team on the current status of the project. Participants were informed about the activities carried out during the inception phase, the key findings obtained, and the Inception Report.

During the meeting, progress achieved in the initial phase of the project was reviewed, while planned activities for the upcoming period and institutional coordination mechanisms were also discussed.
