ABOUT THE PROJECT	The objective of the project is to enhance institutional capacity for monitoring practices related to ambient air quality and the marine environment in Türkiye. This objective encompasses improving air quality measurement systems and developing capacity for the online monitoring and reporting of marine data in compliance with EU directives. Specific Objective of the Project: Development and improvement of the institutional capacities of all units involved in the management of ambient air quality in line with the CAFÉ Directive (2008/50/EC) The following outputs are expected to be achieved through the activities within the scope of the project: Development of institutional capacity in air quality monitoring systems, including the preparation of technical guidelines, establishment of accreditation documents and training, in order to comply with the EU’s Clean Air for Europe (CAFE) Directive. Renovation of calibration laboratories with the necessary equipment to meet the requirements of the CAFE Directive. Strengthening capacity for online marine monitoring, data assessment and reporting in line with the EU Marine Strategy Framework Directive and regional agreements. Enhancement of administrative capacity through the preparation of guidance documents and the organisation of training sessions and study visits.
