The closing event of “Technical Assistance to Enhance the Capacity of AFAD In the Adaptation and Reduction of Disaster Risks Resulting from The Climate Change in Türkiye” Project was held on 18 April.

In his opening speech, our Director General Assist. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Bayraktar emphasised the importance of taking precautions against disasters caused by climate change as well as the projects carried out under IPA structuring and emphasised that our Ministry always works together with AFAD in this context.

In the second half of the closing programme, a panel moderated by Ömer Öztürk discussed climate-related disasters and their effects on humanity and the legacy we will leave to future generations with the slogan “We Have a Promise for 2100!” and the panel was completed with a mini concert given by artist Tuna Kiremitçi.
