The Second Meeting of the Operational Coordination Unit of the “Technical Assistance for the İLBANK Project Implementation Unit (Project Management Consultancy)” Project was held in a hybrid format at the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change on 28 July 2026. During the meeting, the activities carried out and planned under the Project were discussed.

Hosted by the Department of Project Implementation of the Directorate General for European Union and Foreign Relations, the meeting was attended by Ms. Elif Torcu ÖZDEN, Sector Manager at the Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye; Assoc. Prof. Dr İsmail Raci BAYER, Head of the Project Implementation Department,  Mr. Mehmet Yunus İNAN, Head of the Project Preparation and Monitoring Department, along with other officials, representing the Managing Authority; relevant representatives of İLBANK, the End Recipient; and representatives of the Contractor.

As in the first meeting, the Contractor delivered a detailed presentation on the work carried out in relation to the Project’s objectives, activities and expected results. The presentation covered the overall progress of the Project, the decisions of the Project Steering Committee and their follow-up, findings from site visits, resource utilisation and future projections. The participants also exchanged views on infrastructure investments supported by international financial institutions, the current status of consultancy services provided under the European Union grant, and coordination within the framework of the Project Management Consultancy.

During the question-and-answer session, the participants shared their views on the progress of the Project. The meeting concluded following the closing remarks.
