The 3rd Action Coordination Unit Meeting, organized within the scope of the “Strengthening Marine Ecosystem Connectivity in Southwestern Türkiye through a Network of Marine Protected Areas Enhancing Climate Change Resilience” Project, was held online on 13 May 2026.

The meeting was attended by Ms. Özge Gökçe AKTAŞ, Sector Manager at the Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye; Mr. Güven SEYDİOĞLU, Contract Specialist from the Project Implementation Department of the Directorate General for European Union and Foreign Relations of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change; representatives of the General Directorate for the Protection of Natural Assets as the Final Beneficiary; and representatives of the contractor company.

At the opening of the meeting, the importance of the activities carried out in line with the overall objectives of the project was emphasized. Following a brief introduction regarding the objectives of the meeting, the activities completed during the inception period were discussed. 

During the continuation of the meeting, the activities planned for the implementation phase were discussed in detail, and comprehensive information was provided on the ongoing and planned efforts aimed at strengthening stakeholder capacity and enhancing cooperation and collaboration.

In addition, the activities to be carried out over the upcoming six-month period were shared with the participants, and the importance of ensuring effective and coordinated progress was emphasized.
